1. Acknowledgement of Risks
I understand that participating in Pilates classes involves physical activity that may result in muscle soreness, strains, falls, sprains, fractures, or other injuries. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept all risks associated with the activity.
I further understand that this event is conducted in the presence of cats. I acknowledge that interaction with cats may involve risks including, but not limited to:
- Scratches or bites
- Allergic reactions
- Tripping over cats or cat toys
- Unexpected animal behaviour
- Damage to personal belongings
I voluntarily accept all such risks.
2. Health Declaration
I confirm that:
- I am at least 18 years old, or I have obtained the consent of my parent or legal guardian.
- I am physically fit to participate in Pilates.
- I do not have any medical condition that would make participation unsafe.
- I will immediately stop participating if I feel unwell, dizzy, experience pain, or am advised by the instructor to stop.
3. Participant Responsibilities
I agree to:
- Follow all instructions given by the Pilates instructor and Cattraction staff.
- Handle the cats gently and respectfully.
- Not chase, pick up, disturb, or force interaction with any cat unless permitted by staff.
- Wear appropriate exercise attire.
- Inform staff immediately if I sustain any injury or if a cat appears distressed.
4. Assumption of Risk
I understand that neither Pilates exercises nor interactions with animals can be made completely risk-free.
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, loss, or damage arising from my participation in the event.
5. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Singapore law, I release and discharge Cattraction, its owners, directors, employees, instructors, volunteers, and representatives from any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or connected with my participation in the event, except where caused by their negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
6. Personal Property
I understand that I am responsible for my own belongings. Cattraction is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to my personal property.
7. Photography & Social Media
I understand that photographs and videos may be taken during the event.
I consent to Cattraction using photographs or videos of me for marketing, advertising, and social media.
8. Medical Treatment
In the event of an emergency, I authorise Cattraction staff to seek first aid or emergency medical assistance on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any associated medical expenses.
9. Cancellation & Refund
I understand that:
- My booking is non-transferable unless approved by Cattraction.
- Refunds will only be provided in accordance with Cattraction’s cancellation policy.
- Cattraction reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event due to safety concerns, insufficient participation, or unforeseen circumstances.
10. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
Participant Declaration
I confirm that I have carefully read and understood this Liability Waiver and Release Agreement.
I voluntarily agree to all of its terms before participating in the Pilates with Cats event.
